Two altered Diary covers

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been here in a long time, my elderly parents are keeping me very busy these days...

Here are two altered diaries, made for special people for Christmas presents.
The backgrounds are tissue paper and various acrylic rubs (on the green/gold one) and a printed paper background for the pink one. Over that are laid some embossed aluminum pieces, darkened with a wipe on, wipe off wash of black acrylic paint, then coloured in places with sharpie alcohol pens.

Sorry the photo isn't very good, the light bounces back from these a lot!

They are lovely gifts JayJay. The green and gold is my favorite of the two because the embossed aluminum is beautifully integrated into the rest of the cover. Well done.

Thank you, Eraethil! Yes, I like the green/gold one better as well.

I did wonder about the background of the pink one, but it looks ok and a lot less 'sticking out' in real life, the colours on the background tie in with the colours on the embossed foil, so not too bad.

Reflective surfaces are so hard to capture "as they are" in a photo!

These covers are phenomenal! I know they'll be over the moon happy. To me the birdcage one is the one I'd like to have.

Re: Two altered Diary covers

Thank you for your kind comments, Rick, Elinor and Kay.

I might do some notebook covers for birthday presents for next year!
