I like your brush technique. Of the group my two favorites are "Behind Clancy's" and "Blue House in Quitman".

Re: Dropping by again, finally

Great works. I am really in awe of the last two. Night scenes and views with large areas in shadows are so hard to do convincingly. I am always interested when I see you have posted. Gary

Re: Dropping by again, finally

Great paintings here. I agree with Yorky, there is something about the Lakeside Cabin that makes it a standout, I would say that it is the composition and the color harmony.

Re: Dropping by again, finally

Thank you, Ernst!

Thank you, contumacious! I appreciate it.

Thank you, Yorky!

Thanks, Gary! I enjoy painting at night. It does help to have a light that's lightweight and clips either to a hat brim or to your palette. Some of the clip on LED reading lights work pretty well because the light they emit is more like daylight and not yellow like incandescent lights. I recommend it.

Thanks, Sid! Much appreciated!

Randy

Excellent work Randy- You have skills for structures! I especially like the last (shadowed garage).

Re: Dropping by again, finally

Thanks so much, Ken! I appreciate it!

Thank you, Dave! That was one I felt I had something going in the right direction in how I handled it. I got a little worried that it may have gotten too busy, but after reexamining, I felt I kept it together, keeping things in the correct families of light and dark.

Thank you, StillLearning!

Randy

Welcome back!
Great group of Paintings.
Like your shadows. I have been 'looking into the dark' more lately.
