Three Deer (also on WDE thread)

Three Deer
8 x 5" Large Moleskine Journal
Derwent Inktense washed with Caran d'Ache Medium Waterbrush
Photo reference from Dec. 1 Weekend Drawing Event by Lisilk

Had to do this reference, it was too beautiful. Love her photos every time she hosts one. Love using Inktense for sketch and wash, it comes out so strong and lovely. Not my best wildlife rendering but not my worst either. Eh, I do cats more often than deer... even if I see a bunch of them locally where I live now. Lots and lots of deer.

I remember this one from her Weekend Drawing Event. Lots of deer everywhere around here; they are like tall goats my husband says...

Thank you! Oh we have lots and lots around here, that's what attracted me to the reference. I keep seeing them by the road. Most times they bound off, sometimes they don't.
