Highway 81 Revisited

Thanks for looking

Finished this view of the Southern PA mountains. Added some darks and brought a little order into the chaos.

Painting is 28 X 15 in on Fabriano Artistico cold press paper. Sealed with just one layer of clear gloss medium. The layer is uneven, so the absorbency of the paper was not uniform, giving rise to some unplanned effects that I rather like.

I like it. Colors are great. Hint of the sun in the center is a nice focal point. I've taken I81 through PA many a time and don't ever recall such a lovely view!

love the coloring but I never got to see that scene....the 'trucks' blocked the view!

Blue, you should have taken turns being a passenger. Far fewer trucks on that side of the car.
