Re: The Gilded Avocado - casein
What a talent you have! You create what at first glance appears to be a "simple" still life. But once a person starts really looking at it he/she finds little treasures everywhere. The ribbon, the ornaments, the pot, and you even throw in a glass bowl the pot sits in!
You are my current inspiration. I bounce back and forth between extreme closeups and normal views trying to learn all the subtleties you have included and how you accomplished them.
While I think I am learning the basic technicalities, I'm not sure I will ever develop the artist's discerning eyes that you clearly have. And there's no way for me to envision the subtleties that lead to your actual brushstrokes. I clearly see the results but I haven't found a way to discern the technique yet. Have you considered doing videos of you painting?
Please keep up the work and the sharing. I really enjoy them and learn from them.
