Side view, Monetís home, Giverny

This from a photo. Oil on Canvas paper, 9 x 12. Had a blast with this one. Of course, I am partial to the color pink. Thanks. Oh, critiques are welcome.

I have enjoyed your style on this series from Monet's home. I appreciate the effort that you have put into the textures of the foliage. Gary

Very nicely done ... that turquoise really makes the painting magical. A stunner.

Re: Side view, Monetís home, Giverny

Thanks, Kay and John.

The turquoise color was a challenge and still isnít quite the color I wanted. The green, blue-green color I was trying to get is the color of the Japanese bridge over the pond, railings at the house, benches and other things. I took photos of the green color on the different objects in different light so that I could work on it. I call it, Monet Green. Iím guessing it is a color he may have come up with using Emerald Green, which he used in his paintings. LOL, I have an emerald and even visualized it for the color, but it seemed darker and emeralds do come in more than one green color. Still, lots of fun. Looking forward to the next one.

Nice!
I have painted the unusual green bridge there before in watercolor and it was not easy.

A very fun cheerful painting. Beautiful soft textured greens to go with the rest. A nice mix of colors.
