Amazing Lasmeja! Well done.

I can't see where you used the clock. My grandfather/mother received such a clock as a wedding present around 1900, and it is now in our son's house.

Re: a lover of novels

Thank you very much for your kind words, Peter! The watch is a round frame for "watercolors".

The watch is in working condition? It is more than a hundred years!

You know, if you didn't show us all the pieces that went into creating this portrait, no one would ever know that this was a collage. That's how good and believable this portrait is. Your imagination is unlimited and your talent is over the top. We are very fortunate that you share your creations with us.

Hi Lasmeja

No, it does not currently work, although it may be able to. When I was a teenager (c 1960) I cleaned and repaired it (I think one of the springs had broken). However, my mother was a very light sleeper and objected to the clock making a noise at night, so I was forbidden to let it run. Then we later lost the double-ended key, so nobody has tried to run it for many years.

Maybe Peter, MFI, has a spare key. He fixes clocks and watches. He has thousands of parts!

Thanks Lorell . However, I'm sure that it would be easy enough to get a replacement key from a shop I know of in Johannesburg that specialises in old clock repairs.

Oh, WOW! You did a magnificent job with this composite image! You have gotten very good at it! You have all the tones, light and shadows just right, making it look as if it was really taken in one shot!
