Two Needle Wrist/Hand Warmers

The tank top is on hold as my niece asked for a pair of hand warmers. The only colour she can wear at work is black, so not very bright and cheerful. She serves at a Post Office counter and needs to keep her hands warm. They are knitted as an oblong, folded over and joined, leaving a hole for the thumb.

Don't know about you, but I dislike working with black on my projects. I find it very hard to see what I'm doing. Good for you doing this for her. Cold hands are no fun.

They are knitted in double moss stitch.

I agree! I find black and dark coloured wools very hard on the eyes. Knitted one and started the other - my sister now wants some, too! She plays saxophone in the town band in Devizes and is often out in the cold. The band is playing tomorrow in the town and she will be out for 3 hours. I crocheted her some handwarmers last year. 😎

Looks great. Did sis wear out the crocheted ones? Keep your own hands warm while doing all of this. I'm working on some hand sewing for gifts and have found my hands getting cold. Need to dig out my hand warmers.

Re: Two Needle Wrist/Hand Warmers

Thanks, Debby. I think she wanted a smaller pair. I may ask for the crocheted ones as I have bigger hands! It's unseasonably mild here at present but I am keeping my hands warm, thanks.
