Kay's Junk Journal

After being inspired by Helen's grunge journal I located a 1959 hardback book w/ water damage that was perfect for the flea market of art I had in mind. Some pages have gesso and others are glued. A few are tinted with coffee and page size is 8.25x5.25.

Circus elephant collage, ink, acrylics from WDE

Clark Gable sketch on teabag, acrylics, Montana markers, ink

Charcoal, collage, carpenter's pencil sketch of unknown male online photo

Acrylics, Montana markers, ink, felt tip pen, charcoal; portrait sketch of 0123harry, a preliminary sketch for Portrait forum's annual challenge

A not so grungy/junky patio garden in watercolor/ink for current Watermedia challenge

Kay, I have mentioned in other forms how much I feel that you live up to the “Kreative” adjective that have chosen for yourself. It will fun to follow this journal. Gary

Thanks Joan
Here is another just done last week, an outlaw named Cole Younger, one of a band of evil brothers who teamed up with the James bunch to rob banks. It is mixed media.

Re: Kay's Junk Journal

Well done Kay. I recognized the name right away but I've only seen the movie version of Cole, several movie versions actually so don't know if it's accurate.... I trust it is knowing your work.

Re: Kay's Junk Journal

It is fun, Joan, you might try it.

Another one I call Mystery Man, also on a gessoed page using a black felt tip marker. Here I only put in the darkest darks, so no middle values It is coffee-stained also.
