'Moab - Sunday Morning'

My first urban effort! .. painted during a plein air paint-out competition while in Moab .. early October. Left out all the cars [was intimidated since I never painted one] .. put in a couple stray dogs instead. Fun to do .. have to brush up on my perspective

Re: 'Moab - Sunday Morning'

Thanks Dave .. I really like good urban paintings .. and most of those have cars and people in them .. so they are just different shapes to analyze. However since I don't live anywhere near a city [the closest traffic light is an hour away] .. I will continue to focus on the high desert landscapes that surround Torrey. The Moab competition kinda forced me into it .. was good to get out of my comfort zone

There's a lovely light in this piece - I love the color and texture of the mountain and the trees. Nicely done, Kate!

I love the light and admire your use of color, Kate, just superb! The dogs are a nice touch, too!
