Great TV Themes

What are your faves?

I've already posted Peter Gunn one too many times, so, in many ways its polar opposite...

Re: Great TV Themes

All thumbs up for the cool west coast jazz of the Peter Gunn theme.

A more hard-boiled noir counterpart, the growling bottom of "Park Avenue Beat" (Perry Mason theme) -

(An even better growling bottom - with a nifty tempo shift - drives the Solo Dancer sections of Mingus' The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady.)

Re: Great TV Themes

I didn't know the Perry Mason theme had a formal title. Yep, a cool one.

"I object, your Honor! That's incompetent, irrelevant and immaterial!"

"Be seeing you."

The tune really can't be separated from the opening montage.

Re: Great TV Themes

Love how neatly the I Spy theme could segue into the Mad Men theme . . .

"Paw! Paw!"

My favorite Western theme. Too bad it's so short.
