Cultural Aura, mixed media over acrylic poured background

x-posted in portraiture

Hey everyone, I have been experimenting with acrylic pours with mixed sucess. This is one of the failed pours that I turned into a mixed media piece. 8*10 canvas using acrylics, watercolor, oil pen, whire india ink and markers. I would love to hear what you think. \

For the before and after please visithttp://tampster1.blogspot.com

I love this piece. It has a mysterious mood to it and I love the colors. Would love to see a demo of this technique .

Now THAT is making lemonade out of lemons! Pours can be tricky, but definitely keep going. You've created a wonderful piece here. I should show you some of my failures...you'd feel much better!!

Thank you ladies,
Cyndi L - Most of my "yuckies" can be turned around, what can't get's poured over. If nothing else it makes an interesting underpainting.

Love this save! Never throw anything away that you can rework! I hope you will post this in the Abstracts forum.

Very cool. I've been doing some ot the same thing. Ones I think are just too boring, but not really ugly, I come up with something to add to it. Usually am able to make the combination work
