Scavenger Hunt #516: Oct 19-27

If you've done at least one Scavenger Hunt and have time to host one, we'd really appreciate it! You can sign up by posting your name and the current hosting list stickie on Artwork from Life forum:

http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=366347

Rules for Hunting:

* All items on the list must be sketched from life--not imagination nor photo references
* Each object you draw can count for only one item on the list, no matter how many shapes/parts/colors that object contains. This was agreed to by unanimous vote among the participants
* You may place multiple objects together in a drawing or painting, and may count those objects as separate list items, but no single object can count for more than one list item.
* All items posted must be numbered. Count them as you go. The first item you sketch and post will be #1 regardless of its place on the list. Do them in whatever order you wish, but count them in the order in which you sketch them, from 1 to 26.

Do as many or as few items as you like; you don't have to finish the entire list to participate! You don't have to comment on every post, but comment, if and when you can.

Scavenger Hunts last for 9 days, with the next hunt starting on the 9th day.

Please tell us your size, surface, medium, and the amount of time it took you to do each sketch. We love hearing about your subjects and setups. Photos of your subjects are also welcome!

Memory lane again, copied this from Irwin, Hokey Dad He put up some covers of the movie CD's. His story:

Scavenger Hunt 278 - Aug 9 - 17, 2012

So sorry to miss the last 2 hunts..( no internet was avail after our arrival at destination on holidays.)..Great work the last 2 hunts folks!

..Summer is a great time for movies..we even took the boys to their first drive-in on our holidays..what fun!

Here is a hunt based on One word movie titles..Good luck..hope it works.

Joan, clever scarecrow! You have sketched several. I haven't checked out the decorations. Better get with it.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #516: Oct 19-27

Time for a pastel sketch. I need to paint so hope these are warming me up. About 8 x 12 on a used piece of Canson Mi-teintes paper. 15 - 20 minutes

Number 1, Lassie - one of the stuffed pooches, he is a lighter tan in real life, more doggie looking and less like a bear. Hmmm.

WP, wow an individual sketch, nice work. Yes, you have been on our "Wanted" poster. Number 1 on the missing artists list. Welcome. Love your coffee and the sugar waffle cookie packet, my Gene loves those.

Ai, ah, have a nice time on your vacation.

Maybe a sketch tomorrow.

Hi to the rest....

Re: Scavenger Hunt #516: Oct 19-27

Bonnie, good for you for doing Inktober. I never have the energy to commit. See ya soon.

Dave, I like the tool sketches. Clever for radio. I think Gene has a little radio he uses for baseball, hangs around his neck. Only others may be in the cars. i can't believe we don't have a radio around here. I was surprised to find that out. Hmmm. Radios were so much a part of life in the "olden" days.

WP, Excellent on the saw and eraser. Wow. I also had a peek at your website. Great works there. I saw a blue lobster. We saw one in Maine in 2003, very cool.

Ep, waiting for my smiles!

I sketched but haven't fixed the photos..
