Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter invented figure

Hi all, this is a WIP, it a smaller part of a six-figurpainting (I don't mean $). It needs refinement, but overall I'm happy with it. Please post CC I will take all suggestions for improving this figure. 'Beach Bum'

Figure looks good. I particularly like the top of the wave with its foam.

The pose is delightful and calls to mind those nymphs in the FANTASIA segment with all the centaurs and such! I love her cute little face and its expression and the pose is very pleasant and inviting!!!

Thnx guys, I did a stint in the Disney studio, back in the day. (all of us traditional pencil artist are history, re: computers) Also in fantasia, in the dancing mushroon thing, if you remember, it is interesting to know that the figures don't move in proper perspective nor do they retain their proportions well, yet the scene works beautifuly, proportional and perspective are relative only to how well a thing works, or looks, that's what makes good art.
Here then is an update on Sea Nymphs, out of perspective, ...
(I think his right arm needs to be a bit beefier, and more graceful, a bit lower, etc ...)

Re: invented figure

Sometimes it's a struggle, since I have high standards. But, practice, practice, practice, ... art is a practice. This painting when done will no doubt be very different. I hope.

Re: invented figure

Jan looks like it is coming along. I would suggest pushing your values more. Turn photo into gray scale to see values or just squint. Your background has good contrast and sets up movement and rhythms. Your figures need to be connected in the same way, in composition. The gal on the left shows lots of fun. The similar color of the background next to her bum makes it look too big. You might try pulling some of the deeper blue into the figures with the umber to harmonize them with background. When I work these multiple figure painting actually any painting I set back pick 3 to 5 things that need work decide how I will address them then dive in. Often this will lead the other adjustments keeping me busy for awhile then step back again. Good luck enjoy the adventure.
