A quiet, intimate and very affectionate portrait. It is very sad that your husband is gone but this is a gem of a memory.

How wonderful that you have the skill to capture a moment in paint for great memories. They are here in our lives for such a short time...

Oh, Carol!

I am so sad to hear about your husband's passing -- please accept my condolences.

Your portrait says a lot -- it's got a lovely mood and I really like the style to it. I'm sure also, that this is a pose very familiar to you and really captures a side of your dear husband that give you warm memories.

Re: "" A 50 min ~ quick study ~ of my ~ Husband ""

Thank you all so much .. it truly warms my heart .. to read your compassionate thoughts !!
Maybe I'll share this story ...
We use to travel in our MH every summer .. and wld spend a month parked in the rv park .. next to the combres Toltec train in Chama NM.
I couldn't find a way to do my art .. so one year .. I managed to get a spot .. where I took a tent and set it up... I then asked my hubby to sit !!!
He managed to for these 50 min.. lol
So I walked down the lane and aproached Marvin ( a couple from Texas)he said yes and grabbed his hat..the deal wS to sit fir one hour.. he cld Hv the painting.. no Garantee it wld look like him.. lol
He was so thrilled .. his wife Charlotte then wanted to .. they were thrilled with their portraits that it turned into me doing 15 more one hr portraits in my tent.

When we were packing up to leave . People were knocking on our door to get their portraits painted..

About this time was when my hubby began to go down . First a triple bypass .. after he got goin again .. I treated him to a trip to a gears show in Oregon . It was by the RR tracks in a. Building .. as walking to it.. he wanted to stop .. hold onto a movable rail .. to watch a caboose backing up.. well the caboose hit the rail .. throwing my hubby to the ground .. he never made it to the show.. took two months to get back home.. he was never the same .. many problems afterwards.
Eventually I lost him..

Thank you all for yr concern!!!sorry for such a long story!!
