Tall Sea - oil on canvas 6" x 16"

This time I fancied seeing what I could do on a tall thin canvas, this one influenced by Claude's Sea Port.

Nice painting Richard, lovely colours and foam pattens.I am a bit confused with the format of the waves, the front wave looks like a dumping wave that you get on a steep shelving beach but the waves behind follow the pattern of a shallow shelving beach, but still good work.

Cheers Dave - the sea on this one was done from imagination and I was mostly concentrating on technique and colour, so I guess physics took a back seat on this occasion

Did you change your nick Rich? Got me confused

It sure has that ethereal light quality that I love in Claude. Nice color change in that tall sky from orange to blue. Nice!
