Some new pieces

Been a long while since I did anything artistically, was finally inspired by Inktober to pull out my paints

Re: Some new pieces

My favourite is the third painting. Has such warmth with a sense of delicacy.

Re: Some new pieces

Welcome to Watercolour Gallery. I agree with Vanessa; your third painting is delightful with that brilliant diffuse sun shining through the gap in the trees.

I like your first painting too of the night sky. 'Once in a blue (red?) moon'. But it can't be - there's thick cloud above. I think it is a very large red balloon. But this kind of painting defies analysis and does it matter? I just like it.

The second painting has a feeling of foreboding to it. I'm expecting a sudden flash of lightning to tear it apart!

Mike

I like them all but the contrast of the sky and the fields in the second one especially caught my eye. So glad you joined us!

Re: Some new pieces

First, my apologies for misreading "paints" as "pants". Put a whole new spin on it.

The landscape in the marsh is very peaceful, and the dark clouds over the meadow (wheat field?) hold a sense of doom. Well done.

But my favorite is the red moon because I saw the sun almost that hue just after sunrise a number of years ago. Very stark.
