"Work in progress" thing

This is just a portion of an painting I am working it, and it's still work in progress (I was told I can post it here; I still have to draw in teeth and certain textures to it, never the less, I hope I can get some critique and tips anyways, anything is welcome)
I use Photoshop 2015, the original skull was hand drawn (with help from https://mydrawingtutorials.com/how-t...ll-in-34-view/ ) then scanned, imported in photoshop as new layer, traced and then painted (I talked to a friend and he told me that my way of painting is extremely complicated but I find it to be the most accurate and it gives me the best definitions, if there is any interest I perhaps could make a video explaining it). The other "motif" (not shown here) is a 3D model made in AutoCAD, but let's talk about it when it gets shown (hopefully soon)

Cheers

It looks like you have a lot of layers going on. So far it's looking good. I love the subtle shading of the top of the skull, and where the jaw connects to the skull. (is that the mandible?) Looking forward to see where you go with this.

Generally, for each "major" step I make a new layer. That way, if I have an "Oh, ****, I ****ed up" moment, I can just delete the offending layer and start it over instead of using an eraser tool and risking erasing something important. I also find it helpful when the certain segment of a painting is done and I decide that I want something changed; once again it is far easier and far less risky for me.

If I'm not mistaken, "mandible" is the term for lower jaw? So you are not wrong, I guess, haha.

Thank you for your comment and your compliments, hopefully the next "stage" will get posted soon.
Cheers

Did some further work on the skull, I am not sure about the teeth though.

I'm not sure about those teeth either. Maybe they are just sticking out a little too far on the left. And they're not looking set in the skull. Here's an image that has similar teeth, and some others for ideas.
