OK, I'll kickoff with some garden delights, I LOVE this part of the season when we can just eat tomatoes like M&Ms...

Superb shot. You created a mood by your light and perspective. This definitely belongs in the Best Of Thread.

Thanks Lorell! I sound like a broken record but that late afternoon light always makes me look twice at things.

Re: Show us your "Best Stuff" from October, 2017

Nice start to the thread.

Not sure I would call this one of my best, but I did like the intense look on the Osprey's face. There were lots of Osprey flying around the state park, and I had the opportunity to photograph several both perched and in the air.

Really nice one, Tim. Is this what you call Low Key? It really shows off the lighting. Well done.

WOWSERS! Don, those eyes spooked me when the photo loaded...I felt like the poor prey!! Nice shot!!

I took this on the foggy morning I was up early, the swing was hanging there, lifeless....always makes me think of when my grandbaby was small and called me to keep pushing, higher, higher!!

Don, you certainly captured the intensity. Awesome close up.

Natalie,
You captured such mood and atmosphere. This should be framed.

Love the Osprey closeup, Don - such intensity in those eyes. And a wonderfully moody and nostalgic image, Natalie.

Taken earlier this afternoon. The sky color is from the smoke of a bad fire about 30 miles (48 km) NE of me...

Re: Show us your "Best Stuff" from October, 2017

Natalie, yes the basketball backboard and rim haven't gotten much use in the past 20+ years. (I still remember nearly falling off the ladder onto the driveway because I foolishly decided I could lift it up, hold it in position it, secure it to the garage all by myself.)

Lorell, yes minimalism is what I was going for. I also liked the contrast of the weird sky color against the blue of the garage, the dappled light on the backboard, and the texture of the fascia compared to the evenness of the yellow/gold sky.

Such beautiful and perfect lighting. So subtle and soft. The dew drops really make this a winner.
Great work, Natalie.
