Natalie, you get the prize for starting BOTH challenges. Way to go and THANK YOU FOR MUCH.

Great action shot of your grand daughter. All those gals looks so tall and lean, good for them.

I am looking forward to seeing the variety of sports that we'll be posted in this thread. I bet no one thought they would see this one.

Warming up for the Jousting Event:

I may have posted this before. #39 SF Giants pitcher Bob Knepper, late 70's. Shot on Kodachrome with slow shutter speed. (I won a Nikon FM with this shot)

Donovan, The artistic baseball photos fits well in this challenge. Great movement. I am really liking the Kodachrome dragster as well. You caught speed in this image. I don't know if the crop was intentional or the result of the speed of the machine, but I really like it.

Mike,
Two on One, and I bet she came out the winner. She looks like a force to be dealt with. I bet those days were fun. Nice capture.

Lorell,
Shannon was a recruited player and on an athletic scholarship. This is her first year o' not playing since I started her when she was about 7 years old. She is currently coaching a boys U-11 premier team.

Thank you, Lorell. For the pitcher pic I shot at 15th/sec. at F/16 and I turned the camera as I fired the shutter. The dragster was a panning shot at about 1/30th sec. Not sure of the f stop. Boy, do I miss using Kodachrome.

Great images, Donovan and IrishWhistler.

One from when my son coached girls high school basketball in 2004/2005, manipped using a watercolor filter...

Coaching is part of the competitiveness of sports. Here is my son during a time-out in a game on 2004/12/21, talking to his team. (From the looks on the players' faces, either the team was having a bad game or he wasn't having much success getting things across to them.)
