George

This is the first work I've posted in over a decade. I took a break for awhile due to health, etc. I hope this is right side up. I had trouble trying to upload it
this is a painting of my Scottish terrier, George watching television.

Re: George

Here it is rotated. Some nice energy here - especially with that colorful background!

Re: George

Thank you so much. I just couldn't figure out how to rotate it on my phone.
It's not easy trying to capture a jet black dog, but the lamp was shining on him and I tried to pick up the colors.

Re: George

HI Doris. This reminds me of my grandmother's scottie when I was a little girl. His name was Randy. George brings back lovely memories. I love the colors you used for his hair. Feels very 'scottie' to me.
P.S. My westie watches any show with dogs in it.
Thank you for posting.

Re: George

George loves westerns and charges the television every time they come on. His brother Samm likes to sit high on the back of a chair and look out the window for kids on bikes! I joke that George wants a pony for Christmas and Samm wants a bicycle!
I love the way George props his leg on the armrest because he looks like he's leaning on an arm and in a human position. He also smiles but I've yet to paint that. Thanks for your comment

Welcome back, Doris! For just jumping back into pastels, you've done a fine job. If you ever have issues with turning your photos, and need help, click on the red outlined triangle in the upper right of your post. It will bring up a window and you can ask for help.
