Re: Alien bug.

Hi and Welcome to WC and our little corner!
Great bug, love the colors, the greens are so cool.
Is it watercolor?
It looks like it is, it's nice if your tell what medium and size things are.
Have fun exploring WC there are lots of forums and areas to visit and various Monthly Challenges that are fun to join in on. There is one here, the new Challenge starts on the first day of the month and the posts are allowed from the 24th on.

Ah yes, forgot to add those details, thanks.
I do like the challenge that's going on at the moment, I'll try to get at least a sketch in.

Re: Alien bug.

Good work, but creepy creature lol. I can imagine a scene to go with this. Aliens come in their ships. "Humans! We are here for you gardens!" They seem huge and menacing, but then the point of view steps back and they are the size of caterpillar.

Woody is right, it looks like it should morph into something. Could be a future painting idea for you.

Re: Alien bug.

That's pretty cool. I like this, it sent a shiver down my back. Great fangs and clever to give it almost lizard like belly.

Hope to see more!

Re: Alien bug.

I had a look through some of my other work and found what it morphs into. It's an alien moth man!

@LavenderForest Yeah that would be cool, a big build up and then the reveal of their true size.

This guy is marker and coloured pencil on mixed media paper, then taken into photoshop for the background and a bit of color correct.

Thanks all

That's interesting because my last girlfriend was also afraid of moths...she didn't like them to surprise her by suddenly fluttering in her face and so forth.

But moths (and butterflies) are not creatures that can harm you...the larva stage of the moth is the stage of its growth that eats you cotton clothing

So basically Michelle, you're not alone.

Now if someone did a monthly challenge to illustrate your worst fear in fantasy imaging, well.....when you'd get around to ME...I'd give you something to be afraid of.....

Are your sure it's a guy?
Those feet look a little like high heels, plus you know the female is usually more deadly.

Really, this is a really cool Alien bug!
