Computer/Monitor/Tablet

I am looking for an inexpensive, $100 or less, way to view a jpeg or a color pdf on a monitor or device in my studio. The idea is to get a better image than I can get using my printer on paper. A used device would be fine. Should I get a used tablet (what brand and model), or just a used computer? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Computer/Monitor/Tablet

Here is what I've decided to do. I have located a very inexpensive, used 20" vga monitor, for $30. I already have an adapter that goes from my iPhone to vga, so I can display my phone's screen on the monitor. I can take photos with my phone or digital camera, or I can scan an old master image from a book, email the photo or scan to myself, open and display on my phone, and it should display on the monitor. Should be operational tomorrow. I'll report back if this doesn't work.

Seems to work well. The color is a little bit washed out, but not too bad. I think this will work. A better quality monitor would probably solve the color issue.
