Isiah and Bruce - Hurricane Harvey 2017

I saw this image from a friend on my Facebook page during Harvey. He is a friend of my sister-in-law and I was moved to learn that he walked over a mile in a heavy current carrying his son's 80 lb. dog, Bruce to safety while his wife carried his daughter and a friend carried his son. I contacted them and got permission to use this photo in a painting and have given it to them. 9x12 Oil on canvas:

Even though the circumstances were sad, I am sure they will appreciate the connection you made while documenting this and treasure this painting. I hope they've recovered. Lovely painting.

Wow! Even in the midst of the darkest there are people like that guy. Your painting does him justice, it's beautiful.

This is amazing and I love it! Thank you for sending it to the family.

So many people left their pets in terrible conditions. This man took his family friend along with the rest of his family. He rocks!
