Help: Make Oils Flow Smoothly Using Refined Linseed Oil and Thinner

Hello. I want to make my oil paints flow smoothly so I could paint fine details which I cannot do without altering the characteristics of my oil paints. I'd love to do it without losing the oils' color strength.

I have Gamblin Refined Linseed Oil and an oil thinner from a local brand. I'm using Norma Schimincke Professional Oil Paints.

can I mix the linseed oil and the thinner to come up with a medium that I want? If yes, at what proportion? thanks...

Easy...Liquin Fine Detail medium. It works beautifully and dries in a day.

If you like Gamblin products as you mentioned i would say go with Galkyd lite. Runnier than normal Galkyd which i use as i prefer some brushstroke retention. Both these are great for glazing and keeping paint consistency.
