Automaticae Exhibit

After working at getting traction in the local Indy market for over a decade, I was finally given a show at a fairly good and visible gallery in downtown Indianapolis at Gallery 924. It's a great space and I've been working for over a year on the pieces. I'm hoping for a big turn-out at the show, but am keeping my expectations realistic! Wish me luck!

Here is the show venue:

And here is a video Q&A about the work and process I use:

Re: Automaticae Exhibit

We had a fantastic turn-out at the show, really way more people than I expected.

Things weren't exactly as I had hoped with the staging, but, oddly, the artists are not allowed to have much control over that part. However, everyone seemed to really like what they saw and there were favorites that kept getting mentioned to me over and over.

One downer, this is the first show I've ever had in over 20 years without a single sale. Not sure what that's about...? The political mood of the country, the hurricanes and shootings... it's probably affecting people's spirits and thus affecting their attitude about purchasing art right now.

One never knows... it might take a while but I do think there will be some of these pieces move in time. And there is the possibility of a commission in store for me which ended the evening and this post on a positive note!
