First post..in quite a while


Cloud sketch (unfinished) -- Mahahual, MX

Variable Chalk in Painter 17

From my sojourn on the Costa Maya last winter.

After an exercise in the Bryan Mark Taylor lecture/demo "The Master's Mind".

Not sure what's going on with all the bands. It's a smooth gradient in Painter & PS.

Variable chalk in Painter 17

Site of a 9-gun battery emplaced by Rhode Island's Kentish Guards to block the Royal Navy from East Greenwich Bay, which was homeport of the Continental Navy and, not coincidentally, quite the smugglers' nest.
