Photo painted edge?

I am working on mounting photographs to MDF board with a wood frame, then poring resin over the top. I have done this many times before. But I wanted to know if anyone has painted the edge of a photograph. These images will be night photographs and will be dark and the MDF and frame will be painted black. So I do not want a white edge from the photograph showing. In the past I have hand painted them! This is tedious and can get sloppy. Any ideas?

Re: Photo painted edge?

I would try using a broad-tipped pigmented paint marker, such as those made by Krink. Set a ruler along the edge of the photo, then swipe the maker down the white portion.

Re: Photo painted edge?

I missed this post - was on leave.

Why not just print the photos with black borders?
