Changgyeonggung Palace Garden

I essentially finished this on Sunday, but after fiddling with the water today have decided its best to call it done.
This paper was great to start with but it quickly lost its tooth, although I liked the beige colourd ground. I didn’t notice this a problem with the WC paper I have used previously.
All comments appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

Lovely! I especially like the water.
I'm not familiar with Hannemuhle Pastelfix. Is it sanded? I have some Hannemuhle Oil Pastel paper and it is a great disappointment- too slick and won't take layers, so I have to put sanded gesso on it.

Nice work. Good value contrasts and colors. The painting tells the story well. Gary

arnie: first, kudos for spelling the name of the place.

Very nice work: I like the winding path leading us in, and the water is so well done. Lovely colorful and textural trees.

Re: Changgyeonggung Palace Garden

Richard, Dave, Gary: Thanks - much appreciated.
Wendy: Thanks - the Pastelfix is described as having a quote 'soft, slightly textured and adhering surface' which is quite accurate although it quickly loses its adhering surface.
Its not sandy or rough at all.
Its no better than their WC anniversary paper which is a lot thicker and slightly cheaper.
Derek: Thanks - yes I had to be very careful with the spelling. I've got some more of these to do but this one has the longest name!
Thanks
Arnie

Lovely texture and colors! Brings me right back to the natural springs in Ocala Nat'l Forest in Florida. Well done!
