Ebb and Flow

Hi,

I don't normally hang in the Marine Forum, as I usually post in landscape or artwork from life forums. To be honest, I haven't been on WC much at all lately, mostly due to my time being consumed elsewhere. Anyway, I just finished this Seascape and was pretty happy with the results, so I thought I'd drop in and post it. Thanks for looking. Comments and critiques appreciated.

Randy

Re: Ebb and Flow

Very nice work .
I never tire of studying the breaking waves on beach walks and always yield to temptation and log a few more photos - just in case I ever......

Re: Ebb and Flow

Wow! Very realistic indeed! Water looks watery reflections and all Bravo!!!

P.S. For some strange reason I like it even more when I scroll down a bit and crop out the major breaker (last big green wave) Btw, may I ask what size is it?

Thanks for sharing.

Re: Ebb and Flow

Spot on, an absolute cracker of a painting. I expected that foreground foam to roll out onto my lap. Amazing work.

Re: Ebb and Flow

Thanks, Alex! My thinking was everything leads up to that breaker, so for me it needs to be there. I'm definitely not opposed to having a painting be all water and close up with no horizon. I've seen many that work brilliantly that way. Thank you for your input. The painting is 16x20" and is painted in oils.

Thank you, Bryan! Your response of the foam rolling into your lap is part of the response I hope viewers get! I appreciate it very much!

Re: Ebb and Flow

Excellent work Randy!,I can just sense a nice Sea Bass lurking behind that breaking wave.
