Rusty Etching Press

Hey, so this past summer was a humid one. Because of this, our presses have become rusty. I have already cleaned the rust off of them, however, I am not sure how to seal them. I don't want to use anything oily or greasy so it doesn't effect people's prints. I was thinking maybe using penetrol (an oil pain additive that dries without residue) but I didn't know if there's a better way to seal it with out potentially effecting people's prints or ruining the press.

Re: Rusty Etching Press

You might consider a dry finish rust preventative. I am sure there are several out there but one I can recall is named EezOx. You wipe it on then let it dry.

What parts of your press actually come in contact with the printing paper?
