1-Homage to Claude Monet - Wheatstacks in Winter

Loved Monet's "Wheatstacks in Winter" from the first time I saw it. I was about 12 years old and visited the Art Institute of Chicago. Here's my attempt at trying to follow in the footsteps of a master.

wow - beautiful! I'm a novice, just finding my way back to painting. I love the bold colors and bright strokes. Personally I don't care for Monet's Wheatstack series, but love the courage of your work. Keep it up!

Thank you, Rita! This year I've been doing a series of pieces paying homage to artists whose work I admire - Besides Monet, I've done Pollock, Gabrielle Munter, Modigliani, Chaim Soutain, Jeane Hebuterne, Eduardo García Benito, Leroy Neiman, Norman Rockwell, Van Gogh and others.

I would love to see some of your other works paying homage to the greats.
