Still life

Hopefully, there will be more then one drawing in this thread... Plan is to have a little series of drawings from life. Charcoal and leftover pastel paper, size about 6"x 9". Have a good one!

Re: Still life

Definitely moody ... looks nice but it's too small for me to really see things well. Could you enlarge it and other future images to 800 pixels on a side?

Got it Ken, sorry... Took those photos later in the afternoon without any 'light', really grainy. Maybe this will work. Probably, it would be the best to take shots outside but it's really cloudy and wet here today

All the best.

Zoran

Re: Still life

Much better! Charcoal definitely gives you the darks. Kind of a classical composition and rendition.

Re: Still life

Another quick drawing... detail work is not good because I didn't sharpen charcoal constantly but I was going for values and mood anyway (excuses, excuses ).

Maybe, next time will be better...

Thanks Derek, much appreciated! Started using charcoal for drawing recently (instead of graphite) and it was a challenge at first how to handle that dust all over the place , but it's slowly getting under control...

Thanks again...

Zoran

Re: Still life

New small drawing, again 4"x 6" approximately. Not a fan of having tons of fabric in still life but it was a challenge that I couldn't miss...

Re: Still life

I posted image above (2 strawberries) in 'oil painting' forum but it seems that it belongs to drawing Text didn't change, okey dokey. Some mix up... Nevertheless, do I need to post it again or it can be reversed?
