An inspiration for me

Hi everyone -
I posted this in another thread, then realized I think it is better posted here. As I mentioned in the other discussion, whether or not any of you are into this style of art or technic, after I watched it, I had a sense of "yay! Go art!" followed by the desire to go to my basement and create. So I thought I'd share:
What Is Massurrealism?:

Re: An inspiration for me

liked the video

yeah... decent summary of what lead to Massurealism, but I am still learning and I still enjoy representational art and impressionism... having said that, I might indulge in pop art now and then...

Do you have any idea of where James Seehafer is now? He seems to have produced no new work in years and had no exhibitions for years either.

Re: An inspiration for me

That video was interesting - there seems to be an existentialist question asked towards the end yet stating that artists are the ones controling what we create with mass media. Related topics come to my mind like the concept of fake news (both mainstream media and / or alternative media) could be thought of as in a very similar vein. But oversll I like the message that the methods of today are expanding to use high tech with classic method.
