Gorgeous! I love the interplay of darks and lights, and muted and bright colors. It looks so real, and yet so loose. As someone pretty much just starting out in urban art/cityscapes, I'll be watching you to see how it's done, Jan.

First of all, I love this forum. Its the best thing that's happened of late on WC.
And secondly, I haven't seen such a fabulous work collection anywhere else on digital media.
Now for this... this one is a real Show-stopper, with its lovely color palette & shadow play, perfect composition & luscious knife work...

nice painting , love the colors & the knife work , along with the interplay between light & dark . ORANGE FLAG , like the name too . I love the DARK GREEN in the painting , green is my favorite color .

I love this kind of thing, which couldn't be more far-removed from my own style. The painting is just completely made by that diagonal shadow demarcation on the left; you can almost feel the heat on that wall.
