Arrow October 2014 PLANT PARADE

The October 2014 Plant Parade

Welcome to October!

Fall is just beginning in the Northern Hemisphere, while Spring has just arrived in the Southern Hemisphere.

But I’m not ready to let Summer or my garden go quite yet (even though we had a huge dump of snow in early September). So if you’ll bear with me, I’d like to share some photos from my garden with you to use as reference photos this month. Feel free to paint your own garden reference if you wish.

Use any media you like, we love them all! If you have time, do more than one!

Keep the banter going, share your adventures and misadventures while you’re creating.

All we ask is that you do not post your work until October 25th!

Re: October 2014 PLANT PARADE

Thanks Joanne - and beautiful refs too - and I'm a gardener also so love to see other people's lily-pads!
This week has been like summer again here so I've been out tidying/dead-heading and trimming - but colour is going ... these refs remind me! Ahhh bliss!

Ooooh, I'm jealous because you have such a wonderful garden and loads of flowers. Can't say as I blame you for not wanting to give up summer and the view out into your garden. Thanks for hosting.

Re: October 2014 PLANT PARADE

Wow! What stunning references! I'm sure to find something here...and there's an image I've been looking at in my own garden (or to be honest, my husband's garden) that I've been thinking of painting... Maybe I'll paint more than one this month--the beach scenes have had a hold on me, but I'll definitely try to get to some flowers this month as well!!!

OMG, what a beautiful garden!! I'd love to be able to grow things like that but unfortunately I did not inherit my Mother's green thumb Wonderful ref. pics. Hoping to join in again this month but choosing a ref. will be tough!
