*** Daily Wash Sunday 2nd September 2012 ***
Good morning all, I was up early this morning and I have dealt with all my emails already! (My iPad battery was on 2% so I had to stop reading )
Pretty dull here after a damp night. Very autumnal out there.
I bought a small print when I was away last week, a landscape by June Haywood. She deals with aerial perspective so very well.
I hope to get my gouache paints going this weekend.

Good evening Doug. On the gouache. I like that painting!
I'm looking for a black cat on a black night again! She will be in soon. Hunger works where love doesn't.
Did do some painting, to be uploaded later, did the washing and prepared work clothes. I've moved back into my studio aka the laundry so it wasn't so hard. Cats have been out and about. One still is. Then we spent the last few hours of the afternoon in a bucolic fashion. Turning compost.
Pizza tonight.

Hi Doug and Annie.....
That's a lovely print Doug.
Looking forward to seeing what you have been painting Annie.
We have just come back from having a meal with the family (which I took).
Had a fun time chatting and laughing around the table. The children seem so secure and accepting, feel very proud of our son, he's such a good dad.
The day might be autumnal for you Doug, it's been spring-like for us, probably around the same temperature lol

Well, love works where hunger doesn't. We've had a splendiferous pizza ( I said modestly), then went out to look for Loki. Nothing. Marital worry. Its catching.Calling, whistling. Then I had a "brain" wave. I wonder if she is upstairs on the bed?
Yep. Exhausted after being out all day and chasing so many scrub turkeys. I think I'll put my head under a pillow and weep and ...... blush.
She was very hungry when I carried her down for her dinner. She probably has enough energy to reclimb the stairs herself.
Until tomorrow

Great print Doug
Thank you Char, Uschi, Doug and Lulu for the congrats on the sale.... It was just a quick painting I did to see if I liked and could do miniatures... you just never know what will sell I so wish shipping was less expensive though. Maybe Canada is expensive on shipping compared to other countries??? OK Wet Canvas survey please.... How much would it cost for you to send a package with tracking 10 inches by 3 inches by 7 inches, weight around 250g ... if you live in the US to France, if you live in europe to canada or the US, or if you live elsewhere the equiv distance??? just curious
for those of you that don't get the NWWS hot press newsletter they featured me in this issue http://www.nwws.org/dnn/Portals/0/ne...2_HotPress.pdf
Hope you all have the best possible day. ((((hugs to anyone who needs them))))

minis are great Bill. You can use all your offcuts for paper, mat board and foam core and the amount of paint you use is very small so there isnt really much material cost at all

Re: *** Daily Wash Sunday 2nd September 2012 ***
Good morning! Brrrrr... 5C here in Moncton and the trailer's heater works just fine thank you very much... that after we shivered awhile and made a late decision to turn on the heat... It's sunny, but the clouds are moving in.
This morning we're off to see the tidal bore on the Petitcodiac River... then we'll visit the Artisans Village downtown. We need a few groceries that we'll have to pick up some time today... and we'll give Hap's friend a call later on this afternoon...
What a beautiful painting, Doug! Now that's inspiration with a capital "I" to spur us on to try gouache!
Awh... ((Loki))... Annie, they do tug our heartstrings...
While beginning to organize my photos last night, I came across this one that I took of Baby Feral before we left... (it put a smile on my face) His little hind leg will not bend as his knee is completely fused... It doesn't deter him from getting into all kinds of mischief, though...
Ruth has the fastest needles on the planet, Doug... looking forward to what she's come up with now...
Lulu, is it your Son who's leaving or your DIL? I chuckled about your taking the meal because it's what we do as well...
Congratulations again, Ona... I don't have any prices for you... but suggest that you stop shipping this stuff matted (and/or framed)... you can recommend matting and framing, but it's generally a personal choice that people tend to change out anyway...
Bill, I hope you manage to get your yard work done before the rain moves in...
Coffee's brewed and breakfast is being cooked... I'd better get this laptop off the table (it takes up half the space) and get myself ready for the day ahead! I hope yours is the very best possible!!

Re: *** Daily Wash Sunday 2nd September 2012 ***
At the size of this mini Char one piece of mat board doesnt really make much difference to the cost but you are right about the framing and it isnt framed. The larger paintings even rolled in a tube are expensive to ship and for exhibitions they HAVE to be framed which is why I am not entering the european exhibitions... I need to get rich and famous first then i can afford it
ok off to buy some juice.

Re: *** Daily Wash Sunday 2nd September 2012 ***
We had a super Father's Day lunch on the waterfront today. Much fun and laughter. Tania and Bevan came to me for dinner tonight, (the children spent the weekend with their father) and there was more fun and laughter to be had. I am really beat now, and dragging my tail.
Char, what an adorable kitty and photo. Melts my heart. Have fun today.
Doug, super print, I too am looking forward to photos of Ruth's handiwork.
Annie, Been there, done that.
Bill have fun in the yard.
Lulu, glad you had a lovely family day too.
Ona, huge congratulations again, for your sale, and your write-up!!

Good Morning Everyone!!
Once again beautiful sunshine, nice and cool right now, going up to 27C and humidity.
Brunch at friends today and have no idea yet what I'll do afterwards.
Char, you sound so comfy and at home in your camper Enjoy your outings. Cute baby kitten photo.
JJ, was that a father's day celebration without the fathers Glad you had fun anyway,
Ona, how much exactly are they charging to send this?? Is it by courier or mail??
Annie, it is a dreadful feeling when you call for your pet and it isn't responding. I remember banging the spoon on their food bowl calling them while walking up and down the street and that was at night
Lulu, sounds like a lovely meal, let the skyping begin
Doug, beautiful print!!! Did Ruth finish another Aaron sweater in one week?????????
Hi Bill!!

WOW That is high Ona. Is there a way you could package it differently to make it cheaper, i.e. flatter??

Re: *** Daily Wash Sunday 2nd September 2012 ***
Good Day!!! A lovely one here. Got both my computers fixed really quickly by a local fellow who makes house calls......Murphy's law, both went down the same week, for different but similar reasons. I have Windows XP, a lovely OS, but out of date and since both are 5 years old, struggling with current internet usage. So although they are working now, he warned me that the writing is on the wall, I'll have to make some changes the next time one of them goes. I was keeping the desktop off the internet, just for photo processing and printing, but put it back on when the laptop went funny, then got the 'blue screen of death', the third time over the last year, so time for an overhaul.
I think I'll get a tablet of some sort to replace the laptop for the internet, and keep the desktop only for photos, maybe it will last a few years more.
Congrats, Ona, and he is cute! your teeny tiny brushes were even more useful there! Yes, shipping is a lot, you just have to price things to take care of it. I agree with Char, though, you could ship with smaller dimensions if it has no mat.
Nice photos, Char, good to see what you are doing......and sweet kitty!
That is a beautiful print, Doug, I can see why you bought it. Yes, gouache coming up here too, I hope.
Hi Lulu, JJ happy family gatherings are the best! we will have one next weekend or so, birthdays again.
Not only are my cousin and her hubby coming in October, I just found out that my best friends from highschool will be here, all in the same week, just after Thanksgiving. So, many happy gatherings that month too.
Hi Annie (blushing!), Uschi, Bill, and everyone to come, have a good day
