TGIF! 17th Aug

Morning gang,
I put the "Thunder Shirt" on Jockamo when we got up and he seems to be pretty relaxed. When I get up to walk to another room, if he's up, he's plastered against me so much I can hardly walk. I'm don't know what that's about.
Beth, I hope you & your kiddos have a great school year.
Janie, I hope you got to see your friend and you & Izzy had fun yesterday.
Dilly, I'd love to see the work in progress pics of the special chair. I know it will be great!
Ellen, sounds like you need to get some of that stuff that Dilly used.
Carlos, hope you're enjoying being back at your work site.
Leslie, do you have goodies in the gallery where you work?
Wishing all a great day!
Happy Friday,
ginger

Re: TGIF! 17th Aug

Good Morning All!

Ginger....our dogs are always plasered to our legs. They are getting better at staying when we get up to go into another room. It certainly is inconvenient, but I am blessed with their love! I hear really good things about the thunder shirts two of our grandpuppies have them. Our dogs could care less! Have a good day sweetie!

I am waiting on the first cup of coffee, I have the laundry going, kitchen is cleaned up, a few books to list, then back to work on a rug I started last night. Finish that up then I think a bunch of bowls are calling my name to be made! I almost forgot, working on Brockers Rocker! I'll take photos of the process.

Have a great Friday, and remember our troops serving far away!
Dilly

Re: TGIF! 17th Aug

Good morning all. It's a quick one for me. Today Petey and I are celebrating 44 years of wedded "blisters." We're going to Saugatuck later this afternoon to window shop and have an early dinner.
I got a call @ 7a from my former neighbor, the mother of my 2 pretend 'grandchildren" and she's in a time-bind this morning so I'm going to sick with Kyra who has a tummy ache while she runs errands.
Enjoy. Ciao

Re: TGIF! 17th Aug

Morning everyone.

Ginger it just means Jockamo really likes you. Lady does that to my DW as well.

Dilly sounds like a full day.

Ellen hope your "grandchild" shares her toys, but not her tummy ache with you.

Not much going on here. Just getting equipment started up for the day. We will see what the day brings.

Have a good one

Carlos

Re: TGIF! 17th Aug

Morning Everyone.

Faculty have the day off, so I don't have to go in today. Classes start Monday. We went to the school's open house for the kids last night. All is well with Casey and her schedule, but Danny's is a problem. A 7th grade boy can't take both band and basketball because 7th grade science is taught twice, once in band and once in basketball. I'm not sure what we will do. The coach has said he will cut some players, so that's another concern, although it would free up Danny for band. If worrying would fix it, it would have been fixed hours ago!

Ginger, your new doggie friend loves you. I'm sure he'll get more secure so that you can walk with out him velocroed to you!

Dilly, do you all still raise talapia? Having seen pictures of the setup in a while and I've just wondered.

Ellen, happy anniversary. Hope you have a great night out celebrating.

Carlos, I see you lived through the ten day festival. Hope the day is a a good one.

I need to get busy. Danny needs a booster shot for school and Casey has a haircut.

Have a good one. Beth

Re: TGIF! 17th Aug

Morning everyone...

Beth...I'm so sorry about the school schedule. It's kinda crazy for basketball to be during a class period. I always thought that was scheduled after school so any kid could be involved. That certainly doesn't seem fair to me...

Ginger...I had a dog who followed me constantly at first too, but after awhile she wasn't quite so concerned with where I was, only that she could find me when she came back inside from her yard. We'd play a game of "find the mom" sometimes. I'd hide and someone would let Kasey in the house. I'd hear her running from room to room, sniffing and readjusting her hunting. I loved it. I hope Jockamo will settle into a comfortable routine & won't have to be plastered to your legs!

Dilly...Can't wait to see the finished rocker!

Ellen...Congratulations on your anniversary! I say it every year, but you must have been married when you were 10!

Carlos...I hope some cooler weather has made it's way to you...

Izzy & I had a great day at the science center. The IMAX movie was about women who spent their lives taking care of orphaned elephants and orangutans. We loved it. It made me want to move to Kenya and become a baby elephant keeper. The only wrinkle in the day was in the kids' play area. A little boy decided he wanted to push Izzy over & over again. I wanted to push HIM over & over, but I refrained. His response to "Please don't push her again" was nothing. We left after that. Thankfully we had a great time in the rest of the museum so it really didn't bother her too much.

I'm hoping to finally get some beads listed today...and get more made. That's the extent of my to-do list for the day so far.

Have a great day...hugs all around...janie

Re: TGIF! 17th Aug

Coffee, Juice and toast are done!

Ellen.....Happy Anniversary to you and Petey! Man you guys have been married forever! LOL Congratulations! Have fun playing Grammie!

Carlos.....Here is hoping your day brings only good things!

Beth.....I know guys like basketball and all, but Band certainly puts your kids in a great group. No we don't raise talapia, if we had been successful, which we weren't, they would have been harvested last fall. We are still rethinking the whole growing thing, we figured out we were not very good at it!

Janie.....I hope this finds you melting glass and enjoying your day. I would have wanted to push the little twit too!

Leslie.....so you are out swimming with the fishes again! Melt some glass for me girlfriend!!

Nothing much new here since I wrote earlier! Computer work is done, now off to work on a rug and Brocks Rocker! I'll take a before pic, ucky green and looks like someone was trying to strip it!

Re: TGIF! 17th Aug

Congrats Ellen! Enjoy celebrating with Pete!
All my dogs have pretty much "shadowed" me, but plastered to my leg could be a problem with my whacky balance.
Janie, I think I would have knocked the tar out of that little pissant! Where was his guardian? Sounds like he's going to be great fun growing up....egads! So glad Izzy wasn't seriously hurt. Hugs to her for being such a brave girl!
Dilly, you do realize that Brocker's Rocker rhymes don't you?
Hugs,
ginger

Re: TGIF! 17th Aug

Hi everyone.
Janie, so where was this little boy's "guardian?" (probably non-existent)

Re: TGIF! 17th Aug

Duane....I haven't a clue where his "guardian" was. I consider myself a pretty patience person with kids, but meanness just makes me crazy...

Just sent you a PM...
