Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter Two Abstract Pieces... In the Shower.

I've been working on a series of three shower pieces (haven't started the 3rd yet). They are a bit different for me, but it's been fun and challenging.

The first with the male has been difficult. I'm finally getting a point where I'm somewhat happy with it. I think the title will be, "Still Beating." To me, he seems like a broken man struggling with his life.

The female piece I worked on today, and it's a bit more cheery than the first. This one will be called "Surprised in the Shower." The curtain has been an issue, but I'm slowly working on it.

As I said, I've been trying my hand at more contemporary pieces, so I can understand if some of you do not like. As always, C&Cs are great!

Regards,
Cory

Interesting pieces Cory.

I'm a bit concerned by the man's left arm. It seems to have a bit of a droop in it.

At least the lady has the shower curtain drawn back so she can see Bates coming with the knife.

Thanks Hal. I'm not seeing a droop in the left arm... Yes, I was waiting for someone to refer to Norman Bates on this one, haha. I think she was caught by either a lover entering the b-room, or something like that.

lovely color in these, together they are a great set! I do see the slight dip in the man's arm which Hal referred to as if its bends downward between the elbow and wrist but it could just be how the shadows are that is making it appear that way

I like these, Cory, especially the lady in the shower and the shadow of her behind the curtain....ah yes, the famed shower scene...
Somehow I feel like the water should run over the man's head a little more.

Re: Two Abstract Pieces... In the Shower.

Thanks, Pat. I'm still on the fence about what to do with the woman. The male piece is pretty much done, though.

I'm also tempted to get rid of the blue on the woman and make her all pink, showing she just got in the shower and about to turn it on. I feel there's too much blue.

Regards,
Cory

I like these Cory! Don't change the lady- to me it seems the part of her near the hot shower is (mostly) pink and the back- still out in the room- has more blue= cool skin. --At least MY bathroom temp is like that!!

Hi Cory,
Nice job on the drawings. I like both. The minimalistic color scheme makes them very stylish
