KaleidoSoap
A small series I'm in the middle of. I stopped working on these a while back to do the Birds Around The World Series. I've gotten out the second one to work on for a while.

Re: KaleidoSoap
Karen, these are amazing. I think I'd prefer to use the first instead of the second lot of soapy bubbles. They are so delicate. The second looks more like oil. They are both great pictures. What size are they please?

Re: KaleidoSoap
Wow, I can imagine that painting tons of soap bubbles could be fun and frustrating. I really like the first one.

Re: KaleidoSoap
The first is my favorite also. I can see eyes and faces in those bubbles. Great!

Re: KaleidoSoap
I think the first one works so well because you can see the background colour through the bubbles. The second one reminds me of glass pebbles more than bubbles.
A definite for the first one but not so sure about the second.

Re: KaleidoSoap
Thanks! Actually the second is still a WIP. That's the one I'm still working on. I'm not sure I really like it, though. It isn't as "soapy" as the first, more like when you've washed your car and have just the smallest bit of soap left, and the water starts to bead up. I have four or five for this series. I wasn't getting the results I wanted with the second one, so I quit working on it for a while to do birds.

Re: KaleidoSoap
Wow, these are great. Fantastic colours and a wonderful sense of light within the bubbles. How long did each one take you and what size are they?

Re: KaleidoSoap
These are 16 X 20. The first one took a long time, lol. I worked on it over the course of about a month. The second one is not yet complete, but I hadn't worked on it in 9 months.
