Train Cabooses Illustration...

Hello everyone!

I've never posted in this section, but after I did this quick lil piece, I wanted to share (hopefully this meets the requirements?)

To me, it really reminds me of a small illustration for a kid's book or even something in a train book of photos.

It's small at 5x7 on Arches 300lb cotton watercolor paper. Materials are ink, acrylics, and oil pastels.

C&Cs are most welcome.

regards,
Cory

Cory- this is a charming piece. It does fit in this forum, and glad you posted it. It would also make a fine greeting card, or stand on it's own, framed.

Greg

Thanks for the comments, Greg. I find it charming, too. My plan is to frame it in a black metal frame and give to my father. He is a train enthusiast with all the little models and stuff.

regards,
Cory

Nice work Alan!

Maybe it would have been even better if the orientation was landscape as the composition looks more horizontal than vertical.

And it would look really stunning with the frame you have in mind!!!

Thanks, Cyrene!

Here is an example of what the frame will look like. The other one is a rooster illustration and apple piece.

Nice work, Alan! I like your style with those bold strokes and deep, dark colors! They look fantastic framed!
