Criteria q's for junior art comp

Hi everyone, Jane from Australia here. I am a qualified art teacher and run my own art school here on the sunny Gold Coast. I have been asked to judge a local schools art competition for both junior and secondary level and they ahve asked me about criteria questions for the judges to go by. Having not been a judge before I thought a few ideas might be good. Has anybody got anything they might like to add?
