Just back from a painting trip with artist friends where we rented a cabin and plein air painted as much as we liked.
Here are a few from the trip -- it was to northern Michigan this year. We do it every June. A great way to learn about other states and paint unfamiliar landscapes. These two are from the same little boat launching area on the lake where we stayed. It really was an idyllic week.

Tonight's progress, going to make some coffee and then continue on the right side.
When all is said and done, I need some suggestions on what kind of animal would fit into this scene well.
I'm going to try my first animal attempt. Any ideas?

Still wet...
I am calling it "the rehearsal" It is my daughter just before she goes onstage to sing at a music festival.
