faux wood floor

This is acrylic enamel on cement floor, approx. 11'x17', a screened-in back porch.

Ruth,

No wonder the neighbors wanted you to paint their porch too. This is really beautiful. It is hard to believe that isn't really wood. Amazing work. I can image how uncomfortable it would be doing this in the hot weather. The least they could have done was put in a ceiling fan for you. LOL!

Ruth, this project is so spectacular, you have totally outdone anything you have done to this point, and if you do attempt it again, by all means quadruple the price!! This is absolutely amazing, especially on concrete... What did you seal it with when it was finally done? I would hope it will last as long as the house itself does!

Thanks y'all!

It has two coats of Polycrylic Gloss on it. It should hold up to normal use, furniture, shoes, etc. It can be cleaned with water and mild detergent if necessary. I don't think it will take abuse like having hard heavy things scraped across it, but hopefully they won't be doing that!

I really don't know how long it will last, but I hope I don't have to do anything more to it at least until cool weather!

Ruth

Just scanning through several of your more recent posts. As always your work is spectacular. Such an agile person up on scaffolding and down on concrete floors. I'd never be able to get out of the way of myself.

Thanks y'all! It was amazing to me that I was able to finish it. Ouch!

Fefa, there is such a thread on this forum, from last summer. I'll see if I can find it and post a link.
