Evening in gold - cityscape

Hi all! This is something I finished this afternoon. It's title goes with the fact that the windows are painted in gold paint, but you can't really see that on the picture. It's also a little too bright on the right as the daylight was coming in that side and I didn't want to move it while the ink was still drying (clumsy, cream carpet).

I was very pleased with it! It was a lot looser and different to what I was expecting, but in this case that's not a bad thing. Thanks for looking!

Acrylic and Acrylic ink on canvas, 20" x 16"

Hi Heket, I love the brightest patch of yellow on the tallest building. That looks really nice. Your choice of colors is good too. I tried a cityscape a while back and it didn't look as good as yours.

Nice work... keep it up!

Yup, if I were actually painting pictures (instead of just commenting on the great work others are doing) this would be the style I would love to achieve. I love it!

Re: Evening in gold - cityscape

Thanks everyone I had it in my head for ages but just did not know how to get it out onto canvas. In the end I got totally fed up of looking at a messy background and just told myself I'm going to attack the canvas, get my ink and highlights on and see how it goes. And this is how it did.
