Big Splash WIP
This a 9x12 on white clayboard colored with pan pastel/pastel wax, and scratched with straight pin.

Re: Big Splash WIP
I like the rich colouring , Harry., of frothy gushing water . The approaching waves hold no fear to the boy !!

Re: Big Splash WIP
Really great subject Harry, but seriously, a straight pin? Do you cut the head off it and put it in a holder or what? I tried a needle but it was too small for my mechanical pencil.

Gorgeous rich color, Harry... I've tried the Pan Pastels but really haven't taken to them yet; they languish in my studio...

Re: Big Splash WIP
Quite advanced already in this one Harry. It looks like a winner - mind you, what of yours doesn't look like a winner!

Re: Big Splash WIP
Harry, you have another very nice image going here. What could be more fun than sand and surf. He, I think, is oblivious to the world around him, enjoying the dig.
