WDE May 25 - Images Here
I will be posting 15 images and some challenges. Please wait until all are uploaded before commenting - thank you. PM me for large file, I can't get photos into the RIL, some kind of directory error.
You have 30 minutes to make your choice and choose your materials - you may use any medium.
For the next two hours, just go for it……then STOP!, scan or photograph your work and post it in your own new thread with your title, beginning with WDE, plus date, plus title.
When you introduce your work, please add a description of size, medium, support (paper, canvas etc) and time taken.
If your work is digital, we'd appreciate a description of whether it's freehand drawing/painting, manipulated image or done using the filters available in some programs - you could also say which program you've used. All are acceptable but we'd like to know the "hows, whys and wherefores"!!
Use WIP for any work in progress at the 2 hour mark, and MI for multiple images if other works are to be added before the following Monday.
NB. To avoid forum flooding, please put all of your work during the weekend, for the current WDE, into a single thread: multiple threads will be merged!
From the following TUESDAY, you may open a new thread for later work.
You have the whole week to participate - until the next WDE starts (usually Friday). If you finish a piece after that time, we now run a 'Catch-up' thread in the forum each month where you can post any WDE not completed in its allotted week .... it's a sticky near the top of the forum page.
After posting your contribution, please view others’ entries and comment and encourage when you can. Unless requested, please refrain from critiquing.
This is one of the Hemingway cats.

Ewes and Lambs is by Susan Borgas in the RIL.

My neighbor gave me a couple photos to use but they will not be in the RIL, they are for anyone participating this weekend. OK to save and use later. These are Great Egrets. Thank you Lamar for sharing.

Taken from our moving car but I thought the shot was pretty cool even though a bit blurry.

This is the Byrdcliffe Artist Colony, Google and check out the history.

This is a Bougainvillaea that used to live in my back yard, replaced by a fence.

This is another one of Lamar's beautiful photos.

A Woodstock church.

A challenge could be to add a little creature to this.

OK, I'm not that good at arranging still life but wanted to add some, so feel free to move/omit items. FYI, the frame is mother of pearl not stones.

The next two photos are my grandchildren.

The final photo(s) is also a challenge, do a triptych of the three action shots.

The final challenges - Take a daytime shot and make it into a nighttime painting. If you have a photo program with color filters you can add blue filter to make the photo look dusky. Last one, do a painting in the style of another artist.
Have fun and thank you for participating.
Gail

Re: WDE May 25 - Images Here
I counted 16 then the website said I had seventeen and could only have 15? I'll add a couple more if I can. Maybe a moderator can move them up??

Two more to make 16, and in my first count I didn't have any little icons to add to the count??

Bonnie, with all the WDE photos and the RIL there is always something participants want to paint, no worry about inspiration on the WC, love this site.

Re: WDE May 25 - Images Here
Hi Gail - I tried removing some of the 'tags' but WC still wouldn't accept the merge, so I've added a BIG note to the bottom of the first post
Some really good challenges here too - I'll be late (again) - away for a few days, but I'll be joining in sometime ...... thanks again for hosting

Re: WDE May 25 - Images Here
Hardest thing is the choice.... hmmm haven't Ipainted those kids before? At a waterfall.
I'm stuck for choice between about 5 of them.
i'll chill, finish my cider and then decide on what i fancy using medium wise and then decide based on that.
We have beautiful weather at the moment which is staying over the weekend. Normally this would be Spring bank holiday but because they are too tight to have 2 bank holiday Mondays one after another they ditched this one and 'gave' us one next week for her Maj's party. The irony is, when the holdiay always falls on the last Monday weekend of May - the weather is awful. Foir the first time in decades they've changed it aqnd the weather is gorgeous lol Probably stink next week instead.
So i'm going to make the most of it by going out and about, this may leave me tired in the evenings - but if I have enrgy left I shall join in!
hmm now to decide....
can't alter for night time as i don't have any fancy manipulation software with filters and light chaning stuff..
