alligator

This is a 5" X 7". I think I will pursue one of these in a larger size.

This is about 4.5 hours.

As you can see from the close ups , this is not completed yet. I will try to take a good look at the close ups to do my final touches. Thanks Rick

Re: alligator

Thanks for the great close-ups Rick. I wouldn't even know where to start on one of these critters. What you are doing looks wonderful to me. Guess you see lots of them in real life in Fla. My neighbors are from Fla and they use to eat them if they ventured into thier back yard.

Re: alligator

This looks awesome, and with that small size too! Really, it shows a great step up in the realism of your artwork!

Re: alligator

Bonnie, Yes I do see them quite often. This one is at a small game reserve about two miles from work.

Sean, Thanks so much for the comment. Like any other subject, one piece at a time. LOL

Susan, Thanks for that high praise. This one was fun and I can see a larger version in the future.

Re: alligator

A good subject for scratchboard! I think a large size would be outstanding to see.

Harry, Thanks I will be gonig back for seconds on this.

Thanks Linda, This is the right stuff for the swamp! This one will be a good warm up for the big one.

Patrick , on your advice, I will do a larger work.

Re: alligator

Thanks Bonnie, I decided to just add the larger one to this thread.

This one will be on a 12"X16" board. Because of the iconic status of the Gator here in Florida I decided the color scheme should work well. Rick
