Second egg tempera mini. WIP. X-post.
I started this mini few days ago. This is my first attempt with mixing of own tempera paint. It is very pleasant and fun experience, plus - it turned to be almost simple.
Here is a few steps with my new work. I did the same painting in bigger size in both - soft and oil pastels. Now it is a turn of egg tempera. Of course it will take most of my time!
Illustration board, black ink, egg tempera.
C&C are welcome!

Now for the second one... I like it a little better, maybe the sun and shadow contrast? Or that I took a similar picture in RI last spring..difference was the rocks weren't still stacked so neatly. Good job, like the details you show.

Thank You, Kurlie!
Place with this rocks, from what I understand use to be a lands belong to old mansion and was a part of landscaping... It is all gone now.
Mansion turned to be a nursing home now, park went to township, and got forgotten.. It is as wild as it gets and if not few of those neat stone walls, you wouldn't even guess it used to be some sort of park long time ago.
It is one of my very favorite painting/photography spots around.

Re: Second egg tempera mini. WIP. X-post.
Hi, everybody!
We just found out that this painting made to to the Juried show of York Art Association, together with two of my other works in oil pastel and egg tempera. I'm extremely happy about this fact, Oil Pastel painting got an award of Excellence... I don't know about two others, but they all are in!
This is NOT a miniature show, so I wasn't so sure, how they will look at very small work, compare to the rest of them... However it worked out just fine, what is a great news. :-)
Andrew and Barbara!
Thank you for your framing advice, it was very helpful!
