That's funny, Donna, but I have to agree with you. It seems that portraiture is the most challenging subject in a painting, regardless of the medium. Maybe that's why I'm attracted to it.

I too like both, but especially the second one. Aside from the fact that your drawing is beautifully done, Barb nailed it when she pointed out the ruby color and lavender in the hair. Really nice work. I hope you continue to explore this style. I look forward to seeing more.
